Dominica pronounced (Dom-in-eek-a) is the most northerly and largest of the East Caribbean's Windward Islands. Popularly known as the "The Nature Island of the Caribbean". Located in the centre of the Caribbean chain of islands; 15.30W latitude and 61.20 N longitude, north of Martinique and south of Guadeloupe.
The island boasts some of the most spectacular scenery, decorated with towering mountains lush 'Oceanic Rainforest' and numerous rivers creating thundering and magnificent water falls.
The island's mostly undisturbed vegetation is considered to be more extensive than any of the other islands in the Caribbean. Dominica is an island of great natural beauty. Its volcanic formations create magnificent physical features making it the most mountainous and unique of the Caribbean islands.
