The Caribbean island of Dominica proved increasingly popular among UK travellers last year, with visitor numbers increasing by 6% to 4,601.
Recent promotional efforts have focused on the destination's natural attractions and experiences, including its rainforest areas, waterfalls and exotic plant and animal species.
It boasts a number of eco-friendly credentials, including the achievement of being the first country in the world to be benchmarked by sustainability programme Green Globe.
This year, Dominica will boost the range of attractions on offer to its visitors with the launch of the first long-distance walking trail in the Caribbean.
The Waitukubuli route will run for 115 miles from the south to the north of the island, comprising 14 separate sections. cont./
