Dominica - As Life Goes By

This is my story of how I came to be a retired but active Storyteller in Newham.

"Ok you can go to England," my mother said, " In your sister's letter she suggested that you should join her. At least you will be able to get a job over there."

I was so happy I jumped with joy. I knew if I came to England there would be a lot of opportunities for me including getting an artificial eye fitted.



I was born in Dominica in the West Indies. This island is not to be confused with the Dominica Republic. Dominica lies between the two French Islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe. The Island is of volcanic formation consisting of 366 rivers of which a few have fresh water lakes and hot springs.
