A book with a collection of contemporary real life stories written by 22 Dominicans can now be found in Roseau book stores...
‘Home Again: Stories of Migration and Return’ was conceptualized by Franklyn Georges who is also one of the writers. The stories were compiled by Polly Pattullo of Papillote Press and Celia Sothaindo for the Dominica-United Kingdom Association (DUKA).
According to a press release from Papillote Press, the contributors of the stories have returned home after living, working or studying in the UK, US, Canada, and the Caribbean region. Their ages range from 40 to 73.
Each contributor recounts the story of their childhood, the experience of migration and, finally, the positive and negative aspects of returning to their much-loved island, the press release stated.
