The Electoral Office has reported that at the close of nomination day on Wednesday, 2nd December, 2009, sixty-two candidates presented themselves for nomination for the December 18, 2009 General Elections. This figure has increased by nineteen (19) over the forty-eight of those who contested the 2005 General Elections.
Members of the Dominica Labour Party, Dominica Freedom Party, the United Worker’s Party, the People’s Democratic Movement, the People’s Progressive Party and independent contenders were all nominated on Wednesday.
